I am a Liverpool-based copywriter with more than 25 years’ experience in a wide range of media and for a variety of clients. As well as copywriting, editing and proofing clients’ work, I’m also an experienced project manager, having worked in museums and galleries, universities, festivals, health, tourism and the commercial sector.
My clients say that I’m easy to work with, flexible and responsive to their (changing) needs. They also say that I am value for money and good at what I do.
My clients
Much of my work is in the cultural and heritage sector, with clients including National Museums Liverpool and Port Sunlight Village Trust. I’ve produced numerous books, webpages and newsletters as well as marketing and corporate materials.
I’ve also worked extensively in academia, producing work for Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Edge Hill University and University of Liverpool. If you need web content, briefing papers, corporate pieces or proofing/formatting then give me a call.
I also provide copywriting and editorial support for numerous other smaller businesses, crafting web content, marketing collateral, media releases, fundraising materials and social media, and generally advising on the overall look, messaging and cohesion of their promotional products.
If you’ve any questions about my experience, how I work and how I charge have a look at my FAQ page or get in touch with me. I’m happy to chat.
I contacted Karen after spending a long time trying and failing to write my own web copy to promote my freelance practice. Talking the project through with Karen helped me to focus on what I needed to include, and how I wanted to present myself, and she came up with some really good ideas. Karen is efficient and very quick to gain an understanding of your requirements and turn projects around. I would highly recommend her to others.
