I’ve produced materials for several academic institutions including Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University. They range from digital strategising (including website planning & maintenance and social media management) to academic paper editing and proofing. I’m also currently supporting the Editor-in-Chief of Social Science & Medicine: Health Systems journal in her duties.
I have an MA in International Relations and Security from the University of Liverpool.
Websites & social media
I’ve devised and managed websites for several academic projects including ReBUILD for Resilience and PERFORM2Scale. Each is carefully devised, taking into account the needs of the end users, and then supported by social media (see ReBUILD’s twitter account), blog posts, enewsletters and print material. I can also track your site’s performance using Google Analytics.
Editing & formatting
Do you have a report, paper, brief or funding application that needs to be proofed, edited or formatted? Do you need tables/figures/diagrams? I’ve a lot of experience in this area and can produce something to suit.
Interviews
Interviews are a great way to promote your course or institution, to give a human face to your project, or to help explain your impact. I’ve a lot of experience in this area including promoting Edge Hill University courses, for briefing papers / blogs posts, and for corporate articles.
Briefing papers
Do you have a report or paper that could be turned into a brief for policy makers and other stakeholders? I can edit that work into a suitable format and then design it into something to match your branding. Clients include PERFORM2Scale and COUNTDOWN.
Audio visuals
If you need infographics, powerpoint presentations, academic posters or short videos showcasing your work I can produce something appropriate. I can edit and subtitle webinars, conference recordings etc. I’ve also devised animations and worked with animators to create pieces – check out this piece for ReBUILD for Resilience.
